Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Managed Services Operations Lead, FinOps to act as the senior technical authority for cloud FinOps across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will guide the design, implementation, and governance of FinOps delivery for a diverse client portfolio.

The role blends technical leadership, data-driven analysis, and strategic advisory, with remote work across the United States and travel up to 15% for critical engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience, including 5+ years FinOps, cloud cost management, or related cloud engineering.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing, stakeholder-facing, consulting, or service delivery role.
• 2+ years using FinOps platforms or similar cost-management tools.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery and reviewing work for quality and consistency.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python/PowerShell/Bash).

Responsibilities

• Lead Cloud FinOps engineering and solution design for AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Own cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization frameworks.
• Advise clients on FinOps governance, adoption, and maturity improvements.
• Define data quality standards and reporting for cost visibility.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across delivery teams without direct management.
• Engage with client senior leadership and procurement stakeholders.
