Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Senior Cloud FinOps Leader to drive cost optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP, develop AI-enabled FinOps solutions, and provide strategic guidance to clients and internal teams.

The role is remote within the United States with up to 15% travel, requiring deep cloud cost expertise, strong stakeholder engagement, and ability to lead complex delivery across multiple accounts and environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, finance, business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of information technology experience, including 5+ years focused on FinOps, cloud cost management, cloud governance, or related cloud engineering.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing, stakeholder-facing, consulting, or service delivery role with responsibility for presenting findings, solution designs, and recommendations to technical, financial, and executive audiences.
• 2+ years using and administering FinOps and cloud management platforms such as Harness CCM, Cloudability, CloudHealth, CloudZero, native cloud cost management tools, or similar solutions.
• Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, or operating large-scale, multi-account, multi-subscription, or enterprise cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Cloud FinOps Engineers and resolve complex technical and financial analysis scenarios.
• Lead the development, design, and implementation of complex FinOps solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including AI-enabled capabilities.
• Own the architecture of dashboards, reports, budgets, forecasts, and client-facing deliverables with high quality standards.
• Define and drive the AI and automation roadmap for the FinOps practice and collaborate with AI/ML teams.
• Mentor and develop Cloud FinOps Engineers and ensure delivery quality and consistency.
