The Senior Cloud FinOps Engineer leads complex cloud cost analysis, governance, and optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP for multiple managed services clients, with a strong advisory role for exec stakeholders.

The role is remote in the United States, with up to 10% travel. Mentorship, standards improvement, and proactive cost management are key expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, finance, business, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in cloud engineering, cost management, FinOps.
• 3+ years in client-facing delivery or advisory roles.
• Experience with multi-account enterprise cloud environments.
• Strong SQL and at least one scripting language (Python/PowerShell).
• Familiarity with cloud cost tools and reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud cost analysis, optimization, and governance across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Define unit economics and cost-per-unit metrics for engagements.
• Create dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and executive summaries.
• Mentor engineers and advance FinOps tooling and standards.
• Translate findings into business impact for stakeholders.
• Engage clients in advisory discussions and present recommendations.
