Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the transition of Digital Collection Services from on‑premises to AWS GovCloud. The engineer will provide hands‑on administration, configuration, troubleshooting, security, and operational support for the AWS infrastructure supporting large‑scale evidentiary data and DCS applications.

The position requires strong AWS infra experience (EC2, FSx ONTAP, IAM, networking, CloudWatch) and the ability to operate in a hybrid AWS/Azure and VA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 12+ years of experience if applicable.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or systems engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS administration experience.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud or comparable regulated cloud environments.
• Able to work in a hybrid AWS, Azure, and on-premises environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/Suitability clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot AWS GovCloud infrastructure supporting DCS.
• Manage Amazon EC2, including Windows-based cloud servers.
• Configure and administer Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP storage.
• Manage Amazon S3 storage and related cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain AWS IAM roles, policies, and access controls.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, security groups, firewall rules, ports, routing, and network connectivity.
• Implement and maintain CloudWatch monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Support secure connectivity between AWS, Azure, and VA on-premises environments.
• Use AWS CLI and automation tools for administration and operations.
• Develop technical documentation and operational runbooks.
