Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the transition of Digital Collection Services (DCS) from on‑premises to AWS GovCloud, providing hands‑on administration, configuration, troubleshooting, security, and operations for the AWS infrastructure that underpins evidentiary data and DCS applications.

The role requires strong AWS experience (EC2, FSx ONTAP, IAM, CloudWatch) and the ability to operate in a hybrid AWS/Azure and VA on‑premises environment, in a fully remote setup

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related STEM field.
• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or systems engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS administration experience.
• Experience in AWS GovCloud or regulated cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of EC2, FSx, S3, IAM, VPCs, CloudWatch.
• Experience with AWS CLI and IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation).

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot AWS GovCloud infrastructure.
• Manage EC2, including Windows Server environments.
• Configure FSx for NetApp ONTAP storage and S3 storage.
• Maintain IAM roles, policies, and access controls.
• Manage networking (VPCs, security groups, firewall rules).
• Implement CloudWatch monitoring, logging, and alerts.
• Support hybrid/multi-cloud with AWS, Azure, and on‑premises.
• Develop technical runbooks and documentation.
