Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Principal Software Developer / Cloud Engineer to lead cloud architecture, software development, automation, and security for national security missions. The role emphasizes Azure and/or AWS with hands-on engineering and broad technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

You will design, build, and modernize enterprise applications, implement CI/CD/DevSecOps, and ensure secure, scalable solutions in resilient environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in Azure and/or AWS cloud architectures and secure systems development.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Lead mission-critical cloud engineering patterns, architecture standards, and development practices.
• Design, build, integrate, and modernize enterprise apps using Azure and/or AWS.
• Develop repeatable CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices for secure environments.
• Design secure cloud environments with IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, and vulnerability reduction.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with software, systems, network, and cybersecurity stakeholders.
