Job summary

Leidos is seeking a seasoned Principal Software Developer / Cloud Engineer to serve as the technical authority for cloud architecture, software development, automation, security, and modernization. The role focuses on Azure and/or AWS, delivering secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise solutions.

You will lead cloud patterns, guide cross‑disciplinary teams, implement CI/CD, DevSecOps, and mentor engineers while maintaining strict security requirements, including TS/SCI clearance and onsite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 12+ years of progressively complex experience in software development or cloud engineering.
• Deep experience with Azure and/or AWS and secure systems development.
• Proficient in Python, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical authority for cloud architecture, software development, automation, security, and modernization.
• Design, build, and modernize enterprise applications using Azure and/or AWS.
• Develop repeatable CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Design secure cloud environments with IAM, encryption, monitoring, and resilience.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders on engineering best practices.
