Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage hybrid Azure infrastructures across multiple Air Force programs. You'll automate deployments with IaC and configuration-as-code tools, while ensuring security and compliance within a DevSecOps framework.

You will monitor and optimize cloud resources, support CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to audits and DoD regulations. On-site in Omaha, NE with cross-team collaboration and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience in related field.
• Active DoD 8140 Intermediate certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) is required.
• Experience with Azure (IaaS & PaaS) and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage hybrid Azure infrastructures across environments.
• Automate deployments using IaC and Configuration-as-Code tools.
• Provision and scale cloud resources in Azure with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor resource utilization for cost efficiency and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues; perform root cause analysis as needed.
• Ensure security, compliance, and operational standards within DevSecOps.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation.
• Implement containerization/orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure monitoring to ensure availability and performance.
• Identify optimizations to reduce latency and improve uptime.
• Apply IAM, network segmentation, and encryption across hybrid clouds.
• Assist audits (RMF, NIST, ISO 27001) and DoD regulations.
• Provide Tier-2/3 support and document procedures.
