Job summary

Leidos seeks a seasoned Principal Software Developer / Cloud Engineer to lead cloud strategy and software modernization for mission-focused cyber operations. You will architect and evolve cloud-native solutions on Azure and AWS, while guiding secure development practices and DevSecOps across cross-functional teams.

The role demands hands-on engineering and the ability to influence technical direction, with an on-site requirement at Fort Meade, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 12+ years of progressively complex software and cloud engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Azure and/or AWS, software architecture, secure systems development.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal technical authority for cloud architecture and development.
• Design, build, and modernize enterprise apps on Azure and AWS.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Ensure secure, reliable cloud environments with IAM, encryption, monitoring.
