Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to design, implement, modernize, and sustain secure cloud, hybrid, and edge-to-cloud architectures for Navy and DoW mission capabilities.

This in-person role leads cross-functional teams across cloud environments, DevSecOps, and secure platform modernization. The role requires extensive cloud experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to align solutions with mission objectives while maintaining compliance with security standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Current Security+ Certificate.
• 10+ years of related experience in cloud/platform engineering.
• Experience designing and sustaining cloud solutions in AWS/Azure Gov environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure cloud architectures for data-driven mission capabilities.
• Develop hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures across multiple environments.
• Architect solutions for multi-classification contexts with cross-domain considerations.
• Lead cloud deployments across GovCloud, Azure Government, on-premises and tactical environments.
• Implement DevSecOps pipelines with IaC, automated security, and secure deployment practices.
• Ensure compliance with DoW cloud standards, IL4-6+, RMF, and Zero Trust requirements.
• Provide guidance to engineers, cybersecurity, operators, and government stakeholders.
• Support architecture reviews and risk/trade studies with clear actionable recommendations.
