Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will work with cross-functional teams to migrate from on‑prem to AWS, focusing on cost efficiency, security, and observability.

You will lead initiatives in IAM, VPC design, encryption, and CI/CD practices while contributing to disaster recovery and audit readiness. Hybrid work options apply in multiple US cities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 7 years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps with 3+ years AWS experience.
• Strong expertise in AWS core services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM) and Kubernetes knowledge.
• Hands-on Docker experience.
• Experience with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC security/compliance controls.
• Experience maintaining Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Observability at scale experience (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK/Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Troubleshoot complex infra issues; participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Support regulatory audits with evidence collection and responses.
• Implement disaster recovery for high availability.
• Maintain cloud security policies, IAM, VPC, encryption (KMS).
• Adopt Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Support vulnerability management and patching SLAs.
• Create technical docs for cloud infrastructure and procedures.
• Develop logging/alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
• Provide technical plans and backlog to production delivery.
• Support risk management and data confidentiality.
