Job summary

Early Warning Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer- Cloud Engineering to lead cloud-native design, implementation, and optimization while migrating critical apps to AWS. You will partner across teams to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure with on-call rotation and disaster recovery planning.

The role requires 7+ years in Cloud/DevOps with 3+ years in AWS, strong Kubernetes/Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, and security/compliance experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 7 years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps with 3+ years in AWS.
• Strong expertise in AWS core services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM) and Kubernetes (EKS) and Linux.
• Hands-on Docker experience.
• Experience delivering business-critical systems and collaborative work style.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, secure coding, Agile/ Scrum/ LEAN, and DevOps practices.
• Experience implementing security & compliance controls (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC).
• Experience maintaining Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Observability at scale (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Splunk).
• Current AWS certification(s).
• Background and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and optimizes cloud-native solutions using AWS services with cost management focus.
• Troubleshoots complex infrastructure problems and participates in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Ensures cloud environments meet regulatory requirements and supports audits.
• Implements disaster recovery plans for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implements cloud security best practices including IAM, VPC design, encryption.
• Adopts Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CI/CD best practices.
• Supports vulnerability management and patching per SLAs.
• Creates and maintains thorough technical documentation of cloud infrastructure.
• Implements observability and logging/alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Splunk.
• Provides technical input for backlog planning and production delivery.
• Supports risk management and protection of systems and data.
