Job summary

Early Warning seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure while migrating critical apps to AWS. You’ll drive cost-conscious, compliant cloud solutions, partner with cross-functional teams, and support our multi-year cloud journey.

The role requires 7+ years in Cloud/DevOps with 3+ years AWS hands-on, deep knowledge of AWS core services, Kubernetes, and IaC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps with 3+ years AWS hands-on
• Strong experience with AWS core services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM)
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Linux environments
• Hands-on Docker experience
• Experience delivering mission-critical systems
• Knowledge of CI/CD, secure coding, Agile/DevOps practices
• Experience implementing PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC controls
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Observability at scale with monitoring/logging tools
• Current AWS certification(s)

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize cloud-native solutions on AWS with cost focus
• Troubleshoot complex infra problems; participate in 24/7 on-call
• Ensure cloud environments meet regulatory requirements and audits
• Implement disaster recovery for high availability
• Maintain cloud security practices including IAM, VPC, encryption
• Adopt IaC with Terraform and CI/CD best practices
• Support vulnerability management and patching per SLAs
• Create and maintain technical docs for cloud infra
