Job summary
Early Warning is seeking a Senior Engineer-Cloud Engineering in a hybrid setup (Chicago/Scottsdale/San Francisco/New York) to drive scalable, secure cloud infrastructure as we migrate from on-premise to AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud-native solutions with cost awareness.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years in Cloud/DevOps, deep AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and strong security and compliance experience.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps roles with 3+ years AWS
- Strong AWS core services and Kubernetes (EKS) knowledge
- Hands-on Docker experience
- Experience delivering business‑critical systems
- Knowledge of CI/CD, testing, secure coding
- Experience with PCI-DSS/SOC 2/FFIEC controls
Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize cloud-native solutions on AWS with cost focus
- Design infrastructure with security controls and compliance
- Troubleshoot complex infra and participate in 24/7 on-call
- Align with Security & Compliance for audits
- Implement disaster recovery and high availability
- Maintain IAM, VPC design, encryption/KMS
- Use Terraform and CI/CD practices
- Support vulnerability management and patching SLAs
- Document cloud policies and procedures
- Provide technical input for plans and backlog to delivery
- Support risk management and data confidentiality
