Early Warning Services is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure in a Hybrid role across multiple U.S. locations.

You will drive cost-aware cloud-native solutions on AWS and collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate mission-critical applications from on-premises to the cloud. The ideal candidate has extensive AWS experience, Kubernetes expertise, Docker, Terraform, and a strong focus on security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps, with 3+ years hands-on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM) and Kubernetes (EKS) on Linux.
• Hands-on Docker experience.
• Experience delivering business-critical systems.
• Experience implementing security & compliance controls (PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC).

Responsibilities

• Implements and optimizes cloud-native solutions using AWS services with cost management in mind.
• Designs cloud infrastructure that meets regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoots complex infrastructure problems across multiple layers and participates in on-call rotation.
• Ensures cloud environments meet PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FFIEC and supports audits with evidence collection.
• Implements disaster recovery plans for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Maintains cloud security best practices including IAM, VPC design, encryption, and KMS.
• Contributes to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CI/CD best practices.
• Supports vulnerability management and patching within SLAs.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation for cloud infrastructure and policies.
• Implements logging/observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Splunk and related solutions.
• Provides technical input to build a technical plan and backlog, guiding delivery to production.
