Job summary

Texas Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud environments on AWS, ensuring security, reliability, and cost efficiency.

You will develop automation, IaC templates, and backup strategies, while collaborating with DevOps and software teams. Mentoring junior engineers and supporting both in-office and remote work will be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with AWS, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), serverless, IAM, CI/CD integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS to support business applications and services.
• Implement backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide cloud solutions and document runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and share AWS knowledge and best practices.
• Report to the Austin, TX office and support remote or telecommuting arrangements.
