Job summary

Texas Mutual is seeking a Security Engineer to design, build, and operate security solutions protecting data across cloud, on-prem, and AI-enabled platforms. You will collaborate with DevOps, IT, Product, and Security Operations to embed security throughout the tech lifecycle and insurance product delivery.

Responsibilities include threat modeling, IaC security, CI/CD automation, and on-call incident response. A Bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, cybersecurity, CIS/MIS, or related field.
• Experience in security engineering or related IT roles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical security controls across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Support secure architecture and security reviews for applications, APIs, third-party integrations, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection).
• Analyze vulnerabilities across infrastructure and applications and drive risk-based remediation plans.
• Perform threat modeling for insurance systems, claims platforms, applications, APIs, cloud services, and AI workloads.
• Ensure IaC follows security best practices and compliance controls.
• Deploy and manage security controls in Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Contribute to audits, risk assessments, and security documentation.
