Job summary

Texas Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage AWS-based infrastructure for business applications. You will develop automation scripts and IaC templates, ensure security and reliability, and implement disaster recovery strategies.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with DevOps and software teams, and help integrate cloud into the SDLC, focusing on serverless microservices. This role reports to the Austin area office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with AWS and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with serverless architectures and scalable, resilient designs.
• Experience with IAM, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure in AWS for business apps and services.
• Develop automation scripts and IaC templates.
• Ensure security, reliability, and availability of cloud environments.
• Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with teams, create runbooks, and document cloud services.
• Mentor junior engineers on AWS best practices and cloud security.
