Job summary

Texas Mutual is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize AWS-based environments. You will develop IaC templates, maintain automation scripts, and ensure security, DR, and compliance while collaborating with DevOps and software teams.

The role requires 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, strong AWS, serverless, IAM, and CI/CD experience, with office reporting in Austin, TX and telecommuting options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• Five years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Experience in AWS and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Serverless architecture implementation and scalable, resilient design.
• IAM, deployment automation, and CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Use metrics and monitoring to optimize performance and cost.
• Develop automation scripts and IaC templates.
• Ensure security, reliability, and DR planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.
• Create runbooks and docs to accelerate adoption of cloud services.
• Lead small to mid-scale projects and mentor juniors.
• Troubleshoot cloud infra, networking, and deployments.
