Job summary

Texas Mutual Insurance Company in Austin seeks a Security Engineer to design, build, and operate security controls across cloud, on-premises, and AI-enabled environments. You will work with DevOps, IT, product, and security teams to embed security across the software lifecycle and automations.

Responsibilities include securing CI/CD, threat modeling, vulnerability management, IaC security, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in security engineering or five+ years in related IT roles.
• Strong knowledge of network, application, API, identity and cloud security.
• Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD security guardrails.
• Familiarity with AI security concepts and large language models.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
• Secure architecture reviews for applications, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate testing (SAST/DAST/SCA).
• Perform threat modeling and risk-based remediation planning.
• Respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotation.
