Texas Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage AWS-based infrastructure for business applications. You will develop automation scripts and IaC templates, ensure security and reliability, and implement disaster recovery strategies.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with DevOps and software teams, and help integrate cloud into the SDLC, focusing on serverless microservices. This role reports to the Austin area office.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with AWS and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with serverless architectures and scalable, resilient designs.
• Experience with IAM, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Utilize performance metrics and monitoring tools to optimize infrastructure performance and cost efficiency. Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) templates. Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of cloud environments, implementing best practices and compliance standards. Implement and manage backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies for cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure business continuity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide cloud solutions to meet their needs. Create documentation and runbooks to accelerate adoption of cloud services to other engineering and platform teams. Stay up to date with the latest AWS technologies and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations for improvements. Implement best practices for cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance. Work closely with DevOps and software engineering teams to integrate cloud infrastructure into application development and deployment processes, focusing on cloud-native microservices and serverless architecture. Lead small to medium scale projects and initiatives, planning effectively and ensuring successful execution. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking and application deployment. Mentor junior engineers, sharing AWS knowledge and best practices. Must be available to report to Austin, TX office.
