Job summary

Everforth ECS is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, repeatable AWS environments under FedRAMP and ATO governance. You will own infrastructure across GovCloud and commercial accounts with a focus on IAM, security, and automation.

The role requires hands-on AWS depth, strong operational discipline, and collaboration with Security, DevSecOps, and CI/CD teams to maintain compliant, auditable infrastructure. Arlington, VA on-site.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining AWS Cloud infrastructure (CAWS, GovCloud, or equivalent).
• 5+ years troubleshooting hybrid/cloud network connectivity (VPC routing, TGW, DNS, DHCP, TLS).
• 5+ years with Terraform (modules, state, policy enforcement).
• 5+ years Kubernetes networking, ingress, CoreDNS, and EKS connectivity to AWS/external services.
• Experience with security compliance environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53) and ATO documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support enterprise load-balancing and ingress patterns (F5, DNS, TLS).
• Coordinate with application teams, Security, and program leadership to resolve connectivity and production readiness issues.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and remote state.
• Provision, upgrade, and manage EKS clusters and IAM roles for service accounts.
• Automate deployments via GitHub Actions and cross-account IAM role assumptions.
• Implement least-privilege IAM and automate compliance evidence collection for RMF/ATO.
