Job summary

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines supporting the full software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with product teams to embed DevOps in agile workflows, enabling continuous integration, automated testing, and reliable deployments across Azure and AWS, with a strong focus on cloud‑native platforms and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, Release Engineering, or related roles with hands‑on software engineering.
• Strong software development background (Python, .NET, or Java).
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficient in PowerShell and Bash.
• IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation experience.
• Experience building/operating CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and operations excellence.
• Clear communication of technical concepts to engineers and non‑engineers.
• Commitment to DevOps culture: CI, automated testing, deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and automate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS using IaC tools.
• Implement and maintain IaC and CI/CD pipelines as reusable modules and templates.
• Design compute platforms (containerized/serverless) with AKS, EKS, Docker, Azure Functions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines as software products with strong test coverage.
• Support cloud‑native architectures, applying abstraction, decoupling, and observability.
• Implement observability using metrics, logs, and traces for proactive troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across environments.
• Mentor senior engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
• Evaluate emerging tools and technologies for value and integration feasibility.
• Apply SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident response) to improve reliability.
