Job summary

EKN Engineering is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for SaaS offerings. You will implement IaC, monitor reliability, and drive best practices across product teams.

The role focuses on automation, security, and cost-efficient cloud solutions, with hands-on engineering and collaboration across departments to keep services secure and reliable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience, primarily supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Strong experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with core AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda) at scale.
• Proven experience with containers, orchestration, and deployment technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD).
• Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Strong Git workflows and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Influence the development and architecture of EKN's DevOps platform with technical leadership.
• Assess and identify risks impacting team goals.
• Document best practices for deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Partner with software teams to implement cloud-based solutions.
• Drive cost-aware, secure, high-quality cloud implementations.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle for cloud-based solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies to manage and secure the cloud platform.
• Contribute to team goals with feedback and continuous improvement.
• Respond to outages, performance issues, and pipeline failures.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and maintenance.
