Job summary

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Lead AppOps Engineer to own production reliability for enterprise applications in a mature cloud environment. You will drive incident response, release coordination, and runbook automation across Azure and AWS platforms.

You will work with CloudOps, Security, and Compliance to uphold operational standards, implement observability, and mentor junior engineers while advancing automation and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• <li>8-10 years experience in related field.</li>
• <li>Experience leading incident response and RCAs.</li>
• <li>Strong automation and scripting abilities.</li>
• <li>Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD.</li>

Responsibilities

• Own production reliability for critical applications; define and track SLOs, error budgets, and capacity/performance baselines.
• Lead major incident response, drive clear business/technical communications, and ensure data‑driven root cause analysis with preventative actions.
• Coordinate and validate releases; enforce readiness gates and post‑deployment health checks.
• Architect operational observability: dashboards, alert strategies, log pipelines, runbook automation.
• Mentor AppOps engineers and drive continuous improvement of processes.
