Job summary

REGED INC is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve database systems, design new data solutions, and optimize performance across on-premise and Azure cloud environments. The role emphasizes SQL tuning, incident response, and security compliance within a collaborative data team.

You will work with Architecture, QA, Applications, and Infrastructure to implement scalable DB solutions and ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SQL 2016 and higher.
• Experience with cloud-based database systems in Azure.
• Extensive experience with 2+ TB databases.
• Experience with SQL Server HADR and Always On.
• Experience with monitoring dashboards (SSMS, Grafana, PowerBI).

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects for on-premise and cloud databases.
• Review and approve complex structural changes to the database.
• Optimize queries and develop efficient SQL code.
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents.
• Assist in building monitoring infrastructure for alerts and dashboards.
• Support database security and compliance using encryption tools.
• Advise on data retention, tiering, and archiving strategies.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infra teams.
