Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve database systems, including on-premise and cloud databases, across the data team. You will design, optimize, and support complex SQL objects, respond to incidents, and help drive data strategy in a hybrid remote environment.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in database analysis or programming, 4+ years as a Senior Database Developer, and strong hands-on SQL Server and Azure cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis or programming experience.
• 4+ years as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SQL Server 2016+.
• Experience with cloud-based Azure databases and large multi-terabyte databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects (indexes, views, procedures).
• Optimize queries and develop efficient SQL code.
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents and deadlocks.
• Implement monitoring infrastructure for alerts, performance data and dashboards.
• Support security/compliance with encryption, data masking, and retention strategies.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, Dev, and Infra teams to improve database solutions.
