Job summary

REGED INC is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve database systems across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will design objects, tune performance, write complex SQL, and resolve incidents. Collaborate with architecture, QA, app dev and infra teams to drive innovation and reliability.

Responsibilities include security, data retention, and building monitoring dashboards. Strong Azure SQL experience and 7+ years of DB work are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience.
• 4+ years in a Senior Database Developer or equivalent.
• Extensive hands-on experience in SQL 2016 and higher.
• Experience with cloud-based database systems in Azure and large 2+ TB databases.
• Experience writing complex database procedures, functions and triggers.
• Understanding of execution plans, system views, and dynamic SQL.
• Strong knowledge of database structures, principles and practices.
• Proven ability to innovate and optimize performance for OLTP/OLAP.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects on premise and in the cloud.
• Write and optimize complex SQL, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Tune performance and review structural changes to databases.
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents and alerts.
• Build and maintain database monitoring infrastructure and dashboards.
• Support security/compliance using encryption and data masking.
• Advise on retention, tiering and archiving for high-volume databases.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, App Dev and Infrastructure teams.
