Job summary

Temporal Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloud Data Storage to design, build, and maintain backend storage systems that manage petabytes of workflow data at planet scale. You will help shape the persistence stack for Temporal Cloud, including a Write Ahead Log, caches, and multi-level storage.

You will lead reliability and performance, own SLOs, and collaborate with Server, Cloud, and DX teams to deliver features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in designing and building scalable distributed systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals in distributed systems, multi-threading and concurrency.
• Production experience with Go or Java and cloud platforms such as AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design & build distributed data systems with APIs, schemas, and replication paths.
• Drive reliability and performance; own SLOs and incident reviews.
• Provide technical leadership; mentor engineers and review RFCs.
• Collaborate cross-team with Server, Cloud, and DX to deliver features end-to-end.
