Job summary

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain substantial portions of our Cloud Data Storage backend for highly scalable, multi-tenant services across cloud providers. You’ll own the custom persistence stack, including a Write Ahead Log and metadata stores, drive reliability and performance, and mentor mid-level engineers while RFCing design docs.

Qualifications

• Experience with highly scalable distributed systems and back-end design.
• Solid fundamentals in distributed computing concepts and concurrency.
• Proficiency with Go or Java and production-grade code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design & build distributed data systems and APIs for the CDS backend.
• Drive reliability and performance, own SLOs, and lead incident reviews.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers across teams.
• Collaborate with Server, Cloud, and DX teams to deliver features end-to-end.
