UC Davis Health is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the Databricks platform, ensuring scalable, governed data architecture and optimized analytics across clinical and operational workloads.

The role requires deep expertise in enterprise data warehouse design, data modeling and data pipelines with Databricks, SQL Server, and cloud platforms. You will shape security, cost optimization, and collaborate with analytics, research and IT teams.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience driving end-to-end data architecture for data warehouses, data lakes, analytics.
• 5+ years designing and operating cloud data platforms (AWS preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of data warehouse architecture and analytics, data management, analysis, pipeline development, and BI.
• Deep hands-on Databricks experience (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Spark, SQL Warehouse, ML Flow).
• Experience in data modeling for data warehouses and analytics.
• ETL/ELT delivery using SQL, Python and related frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with FinOps, cost attribution and forecasting.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable architectures.
• Excellent communication across technical teams and leadership.
