Job summary

Jobtailor, based in Milwaukee, WI, seeks an experienced finance professional to support daily financial, operational, and regulatory activities for mutual funds and other investment products. You will coordinate with investment advisors, custodians, transfer agents, fund accountants, attorneys, and auditors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 8+ years of related experience, and strong knowledge of SEC/GAAP regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
• Eight or more years of related work experience
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles affecting the mutual fund industry and clients
• Experience in Mutual Fund Administration or related field
• Two or more years of medium to large fund compliance experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
• Must work from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week
• Applicants must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial, operational, and compliance activities of closed-end funds and other investment products
• Support the day-to-day financial and compliance operations of mutual fund, exchange-traded fund, closed-end fund and/or business development company clients
• Serve as the primary contact for fund clients
• Coordinate activities and communications among investment advisors, custodians, transfer agents, fund accountants, attorneys and auditors
• Monitor and/or review fund budgets based on contractual agreements, fee proposals and expense activity trends
• Help prepare and/or review financial statements for client shareholders
• Test/review portfolio compliance with SEC, GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
• Coordinate fund operations, financial reporting, audits and regulatory compliance
