Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks an analytical professional to support daily financial and compliance operations for mutual fund clients in California. You will be the main point of contact for fund clients and coordinate with advisors, custodians, transfer agents, fund accountants, attorneys and auditors.

The role involves monitoring budgets, preparing financial statements, and testing portfolio compliance with SEC and GAAP requirements, while maintaining strict adherence to internal policies and ethics codes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of legal, regulatory and accounting principles directly affecting the mutual fund industry and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Serve as the primary contact for fund clients
  • Coordinate activities and communications among investment advisors, custodians, transfer agents, fund accountants, attorneys and auditors
  • Monitor and/or review fund budgets based on contractual agreements, fee proposals and expense activity trends
  • Help prepare and/or review financial statements for client shareholders
  • Test/review portfolio compliance with SEC, GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • One to two years of related work experience
  • Some knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and accounting principles directly affecting the mutual fund industry and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
