Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a data analyst to support the Quality Abstraction team. You will lead multiple projects, define population definitions, and design BI reports to drive clinical and financial decisions. Engage with clients to understand needs and deliver actionable insights; manage data quality and integration across sources.

You will educate clients on data concepts, assess data issues, and present findings with clear recommendations. Remote work options may apply for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health related fields or RN.
• 2 years experience in health related field required.
• Experience with healthcare data in a healthcare organization strongly preferred.
• 2 years of ECQM and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects independent of or with little supervision from leadership.
• Leads evaluation of the request for service to understand business and technical open issues.
• Collaborates with the client to understand business needs, scope, and deliverables.
• Leads ongoing interface with the client to develop analytic approaches.
• Develops population definitions to meet project needs.
• Recommends processes balancing data needs with urgency and action requirements.
• Understands context of requested data and reports with other initiatives to develop sustainable solutions.
• Uses statistical techniques to describe and evaluate data and uses analysis tools for presentation to management.
• Provides value-added analysis and recommended follow-up actions.
• Supports data integration from multiple sources into a single dataset.
• Leads review and validation of complex datasets.
• Prepares methods to deliver results and facilitates data discussion.
• Develops reports utilizing BI tools.
• Educates clients in clinical and financial operational concepts related to data.
• Consults with clients to quantify key elements of operational performance.
• Guides clients through data issues considering data collection inconsistencies.
