Job summary

Cathay Bank is seeking an AVP/VP, Client Service Manager in California to lead client relationships for commercial banking clients. You’ll manage day-to-day transactions, onboard new clients, and coordinate product implementations across deposits, treasury, wealth, and international services.

You will collaborate with Relationship Managers to deepen client engagement, oversee servicing excellence, and ensure risk is managed while pursuing growth opportunities for your portfolio.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in a mid-size/large lending institution.
• Experience with Windows-based apps (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Adobe), CRM, and Lending Systems.
• FIS Platform experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
• Solid understanding of Banking Operations, Treasury/Wwealth Management, Credit products and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Execute transactions and approvals with due diligence.
• Retain and grow relationships as the primary client contact for service needs.
• Onboard new clients and implement products/services.
• Cross-sell and coordinate implementation of deposits, treasury, wealth, and international products.
• Proactively manage complex servicing needs and follow up promptly.
• Resolve client concerns and escalate complex matters appropriately.
• Accountable for satisfaction, retention, and growth of a portfolio.
• Engage clients to measure service levels and identify new opportunities.
• Develop cross-divisional relationships to meet client needs.
• Identify, evaluate and manage risk to the bank while balancing client expectations.
• Approve checks, wires, and client requests within authority.
• Maintain integrity of client data in bank files and systems.
• Onboard and coach new team members and direct reports.
• Participate in divisional projects and initiatives.
