Job summary

Prime is seeking a US-based Client Services Director (East coast preferred) to drive strategic client partnerships and sustainable performance across a defined portfolio. Reporting to the VP, Medical Communications, this role translates agency strategy into impactful client delivery, team performance, and long-term growth.

The director will lead cross-functional collaboration, ensure quality and compliance, and mentor client services teams in line with Prime’s values and ways of working.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in pharma, medical education, or communications.
• Life sciences degree; masters/PhD preferred.
• Ability to oversee multiple accounts with forecasting and growth.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills.
• Ability to mentor and manage account teams.
• Strategic insight, sound judgement, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and delegation skills.
• Strategic understanding of project/account objectives.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Responsibilities

• Shape client communication strategies with scientific leadership.
• Lead strategic planning conversations with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure account strategies reflect evolving client needs and opportunities.
• Lead high-value, complex client situations through resolution.
• Coach and develop account leaders to strengthen strategic confidence.
• Lead short-, medium-, and long-term forecasting with risk/opportunity visibility.
• Contribute to budgeting, revenue phasing, and resource planning.
• Oversee resourcing, utilization and recoverability across the portfolio.
• Support MSAs, pricing discussions, and procurement processes as required.
• Identify and integrate industry developments into client strategies.
• Provide visible, values-led leadership to client services teams.
• Lead development and upskilling of junior team members.
