Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior Relationship Banker in Colonial Beach, VA, to build and expand client relationships, deliver financial solutions, and provide exceptional service. The role includes cross-training for teller duties and contributing to branch sales goals.

You will engage clients in consultative conversations, refer complex needs to specialists, and participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 4 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests and sales functions.
• Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services and developing client relationships.
• Supports sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs to internal specialists.
• Participates fully in all components of the branch leadership routines.
• Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge to better serve clients by attending trainings and meetings.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls, procedures and risk management policies to ensure compliance.
• Leads sales initiatives within the branch as an expert resource.
• Delivers professional client service with courteous transactions and uncovering client needs.
