Job summary

Gallagher Benefit Services in Chicago seeks a Senior Client Manager in Employee Benefits to lead a portfolio of employer plans, deliver tailored benefit solutions, and collaborate with clients and internal teams.

You will drive renewal cycles, foster strong relationships, and identify opportunities to expand services while upholding the highest ethical standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of client service and/or claims management experience.
• Or a High School diploma/GED with 10+ years of client service and/or claims management experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience and required licensing.
• Preferred: previous insurance knowledge and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of accounts and deliver exceptional client service.
• Lead renewal processes and coordinate with clients to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring clients receive exceptional service and solutions that meet their unique needs. You’ll lead renewal processes, working closely with clients to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes. By building strong relationships with clients and internal teams, you’ll secure existing business and identify opportunities to expand services. Your work will directly contribute to client satisfaction, retention, and the growth of our business.

• Experience managing clients in employee benefits or a related field.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex ideas simply and clearly.
• A proactive approach to solving problems and delivering results.
• The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A commitment to ethical practices and doing business the right way.

About You

Required: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years client service and/or claims management experience -OR- High School degree/GED with 10+ years client service and/or claims management experience. 1+ years supervisory experience. Appropriate licensing as required.

Preferred: Previous insurance knowledge and experience managing client relationships. Solid financial acumen.
