Job summary

Middlesex Savings Bank in Concord, MA is seeking a Senior Banker I to represent the Bank to the public and to cultivate customer relationships. You will focus on the customer experience, operational excellence, performance goals, and sound decision making to support the Bank and its team.

This role requires not only transaction handling but also active cross-selling with business partners, proficiency with digital banking tools, and flexibility to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Some college.
• At least 18 months of Banker experience or similar customer service related position within banking.
• Must attain designation of Notary Public within 6 months. Required.
• Must possess knowledge of basic math principles and be able to perform basic mathematical procedures.
• Demonstrated customer service, sales, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess strong attention to detail.
• Must possess at least intermediate technology skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 25 pounds.
• Scheduling and work location flexibility required.
• Must be able to work extended and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of customers' needs and expectations, and offers products and services that address those needs.
• Develops new business by establishing and growing customer relationships, including utilization of business partners as appropriate.
• The Senior Banker I is proficient in all Banker II requirements and supports the branch Supervisors to create the best customer experience possible.
• Promotes strong customer relationships and assists customers with questions and problem resolution.
• Performs branch settlement, basic recycler troubleshooting, and branch opening/closing as needed.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of work and complies with regulatory and bank policies.
