Job summary

Arch in Morristown/Jersey City, NJ is seeking an AVP, Claims-TCO to lead strategy and resolution of complex, high-exposure matters across General Liability, Auto, and other lines.

Reporting to the CTCO, you will steer litigation with counsel, negotiate settlements, and elevate best practices while partnering with Claims, Underwriting, Legal and the Technical Claims Office. Hybrid role with travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• J.D. required with 10+ years in complex coverage, high-exposure claims and coverage litigation.
• Proven ability to partner with claim executives and senior stakeholders.
• Executive communication, negotiation and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required insurance adjuster licenses.
• Hybrid role with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategy for complex coverage issues and litigation matters.
• Drive litigation management with internal and external counsel; negotiate settlements.
• Prepare executive-level reporting and lead discussions with senior leadership.
• Serve as a technical leader, staying current on insurance laws and guidelines.
• Collaborate across Claims, Underwriting, Legal and the Technical Claims Office.
