Job summary

Coaction Global in Morristown, NJ seeks a Manager of Workers Compensation Claims to oversee TPAs and drive effective claims management. You will coordinate with underwriting, legal, and senior management while ensuring regulatory compliance and timely reporting.

The role requires leadership, strong analytics, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Hybrid in-office schedule with substantial interaction with brokers and insureds is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of WC claims handling in multiple jurisdictions.
• 2+ years of claims management, preferably with TPA oversight experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong understanding of workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with data interpretation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee TPAs to ensure adherence to protocols and guidelines for claims handling.
• Provide guidance to TPAs in complex investigations, coverage assessments, and claim resolution processes.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of TPA performance against SLAs and best practices.
• Ensure TPA claims handlers are appropriately licensed as required by claim type and jurisdiction.
• Ensure timely and high-quality completion of large claim reports.
• Collaborate with underwriting, internal audit, legal counsel, reinsurance, and senior management on TPA performance and claims issues.
• Serve as a liaison between the company and TPAs to address issues promptly.
• Meet with brokers and insureds to ensure quality claims service.
• Monitor claims activity and trends to identify improvements and risk mitigation.
