Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to review, analyze, and process moderately to complex claims within authority limits.

You will assess liability, coverage, and damages, negotiate settlements, and oversee an inventory of commercial property/casualty claims involving bodily injury or property loss. The role supports a collaborative Claims Team, with mentoring responsibilities and potential involvement in assignments and training.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and negotiate with customers and conduct investigations.
• Leadership ability and demonstrated time management skills to delegate work appropriately.
• Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of claims case handling practices, liability and policy coverage.
• Required to obtain and maintain all applicable licenses.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations of claims to analyze coverage and determine liability, compensability and damages.
• Assesses policy coverage, notifies insureds of issues, and manages reserves.
• Negotiates settlements within authority and coordinates litigation activities as needed.
• Mentors team members and participates in quality reviews.
• May assist in case assignments and perform other duties as assigned.
