Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of claims handling practices, liability, and general insurance coverage.
• Understanding of state tort laws gained through education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations of claims to analyze coverage and determine liability and damages.
• Assesses policy coverage and notifies insured of issues; establishes and adjusts reserves.
• Negotiates settlements within authority limits and coordinates litigation activities.
• Mentors team members, supports training, and participates in quality reviews.
• Participates in Suit Committees, Roundtables, Arbitrations, and mediations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
