Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPCU, SCLA, AIC designations and participation in management courses.
• 8+ years Claims and prior experience leading leaders.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of policy application in claims.
• Advanced leadership/management skills.
• Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, cost-benefit models and detailed proposals.
• Valid Driver's License and state-issued minimum liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy, initiatives, & processes to achieve organizational goals and improve claims performance.
• Ensure all claims meet quality and regulatory requirements; review audits and performance data; implement corrective actions.
• Lead continuous service improvements aligning MSI, CSI, and MRM strategies.
• Foster strong cross-functional relationships with executives, regional managers and other units.
• Provide leadership to claims managers and technical positions.
• Develop and manage operating budget and cost controls for the Claims Unit.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing leadership team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Strategic decisions impact overall profitability and compliance with laws.
