Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4-6 years automotive claims handling preferred, 1-3 years supervisory preferred.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Advanced interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to effectively lead change is required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable DMV record; minimum liability insurance. Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter = preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review claim files regularly for quality and monitor statistical measures to evaluate performance.
• Coach and counsel employees on performance in a timely manner.
• Resolve customer service issues through effective communication and interaction.
• Lead recruitment and staff development; support succession planning.
• Lead meetings and communicate goals with direct reports and reinforce performance expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of industry developments and participate in committees and projects.
