Markel is seeking a claim professional to resolve moderate complexity Workers’ Compensation claims across jurisdictions. You will analyze coverage, negotiate settlements, and manage nationwide litigation with defense counsel.

Collaboration with underwriting and internal partners is essential to drive timely resolutions. Candidates should have 4+ years in insurance, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage caseloads and reserves.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of insurance experience.
• College degree required; professional designations preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex litigation and loss reserves.

Responsabilités

• Investigate, negotiate and settle non-complex policy casualty claims.
• Analyze coverage under primary and excess casualty policies.
• Draft routine coverage correspondence and communicate coverage positions.
• Manage nationwide litigation and defend counsel; coordinate with other teams.
• Provide timely updates to management on adverse developments and claims affecting product lines.
