Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of insurance experience.
• Experience managing third-party administrators, MGAs, or MG underwriters is a plus.
• College degree required and professional designations preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Sound understanding of casualty liability and excess liability insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate and settle non-complex primary and excess policy casualty claims across jurisdictions.
• Analyze coverage determinations and draft routine coverage correspondence.
• Manage litigation nationwide; direct defense counsel and coordinate with vendor and legal teams.
• Communicate with underwriting on significant developments and provide case updates.
• Mentor and train claims examiners and participate in initiatives from management.
• Travel as necessary (approximately 10–20%).
