Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5+ years in claims management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Transportation with 3+ years claims experience preferred.
• Claims management training or insurance recovery knowledge required.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP or ERP systems.
• Strong writing, communication, ethics and analytical skills.
• Extensive logistics and transportation knowledge.
• Experience in heavy industry claims preferred.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience with 3PL, carriers and service providers.
• Ability to interact with all company departments.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages shortages, damaged, and transportation claims from start to resolution.
• Reviews vendor charge-backs and recovery efforts to maximize settlements.
• Conducts cross-functional investigations with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and others.
• Manages carrier claims across TL, LTL, Parcel, Ocean and Air.
• Coordinates with carriers to resolve disputes and protect financial interests.
• Maintains complete claim documentation and supports settlement requests.
• Analyzes claim data and 3PL trends to identify improvements.
• Supports inventory recall and rework projects.
• Collaborates with distribution centers and 3PLs to close gaps.
• Provides guidance and training as a departmental resource.
• Supports special projects and process improvements.
