Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate and resolve complex commercial auto and general liability claims across multiple jurisdictions. You will handle reserves, strategy, negotiation and communicate with insureds, brokers and defense counsel.

The role emphasizes litigation management, regulatory compliance and proactive client service, with opportunities for travel and remote work for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible commercial casualty claim experience, handling complex auto and general liability claims.
• Experience managing litigated claims, evaluating liability and damages, establishing reserves, negotiating settlements and working with defense counsel.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, evaluates and resolves complex commercial auto and general liability claims, including bodily injury, property damage, and coverage issues.
• Develops documented claim strategies addressing liability, damages, coverage, and litigation posture; updates strategy as facts change.
• Establishes and maintains accurate reserves based on known facts and exposure; recommends reserve and settlement values with analysis.
• Manages litigated claims with defense counsel, including litigation plans, budgets, discovery, experts, mediation and trial prep.
• Negotiates fair resolutions within delegated authority and participates in mediations and trials when appropriate.
• Evaluates policy language and coverage issues and escalates material issues to management.
• Pursues subrogation and other recovery opportunities when supported by facts.
