Job summary

Travelers Insurance in Alpharetta, GA seeks an experienced lawyer to manage Accountants Professional Liability and Real Estate Professional Liability claims and litigation, advising underwriting and non-attorney claim teams on complex matters. You will handle investigations and strategy end-to-end.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active license to practice law, and at least two years of relevant legal experience, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Juris Doctorate Degree required.
• Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where you will be working.
• Two years of relevant legal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies to analyze, investigate, and resolve BSI claims with moderate supervision.
• Prepare and present management reports on loss development, potential/actual financial exposure, reserve adjustments, coverage issues, and claim strategies.
• Retain and manage outside counsel with litigation plans and budgets.
• Communicate with underwriting on significant claim exposures.
• Travel to mediations, settlement conferences, claim conferences, and depositions.
